Sexual Health Consultations
Sexual Health Consultations are a free service designed to provide students the answers to their questions about their sexual health needs. Students will be given information about both on and off-campus resources that can equip them to engage in safer sex practices.
Do you have questions about your sexual health? Drop by our office to schedule an appointment for a one-on-one consultation with Kyra Patel, the coordinator for Student Social Wellness! Consultations are 30-45 minutes and can include the following topics:
- Birth Control and Contraceptive Options
- Healthy Relationships and Consent
- Pregnancy Concerns
- Safer Sex Supplies
- Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs) or STI Testing
- and many more!
The Condom Fairy
This service provides FREE sexual health barriers for all students at Appalachian State University. Barriers include a variety of male/external condoms, female/internal condoms, dental dams, and lubricants. Individuals can request up to five sexual health barrier methods from the Condom Fairy. Requests are typically filled within 2 business days, and items can be picked up from the front desk of the office at Wellness and Prevention Services.
