Request Mailing List

This service is for the Division of Student Development only, including clubs that are officially registered with CSIL. Please fill out the form completely.

* Your mailing list address should consist of only lowercase letters, and should be as short as possible. An acronym representing your organization would be recommended. We may need to change this slightly to fit the needs of our email server, but will let you know before we do. All mails coming from your list will come from this address @tux.appstate.edu.
* Do you want any subscribed member to be able to post to the mailing list? This can provide a nice forum for discussion within an organization. Otherwise, only moderators will be able to post to the list.

* Be aware that unsolicited email, which may be potentially vulgar, is a reality. As a mailing list moderator, you will be expected to deal with it. Any mailings from an address not subscribed to the list will be queued up. However, in a discussion-format list, legitimate emails from someone with multiple email addresses may also show up in this queue. You will need to process the queue regularly, discarding spams and making a decision on legitimate emails.
